When you get to the Grand Canyon or you ride on the red rocks in Sedona, you feel it. The wise elders of the American Indian tribes (Hopi and Navajo) seem to watch from somewhere above the earth remain unhurt and their wisdom to reach those who are ready to receive it. There are countless surviving things we can learn from American Indians. Here are five of them1. Nature has everything we need. The Indians had to get everything they needed from nature and they did it.
Whether it was stones to start a fire or animal skin to make clothes, they found everything they needed in the world around them. Few of us could survive if we were thrown into the wilderness without anything. 2. It lives in harmony with nature. If ever there was a people living in harmony with their surroundings, they were American Indians.
They took what they needed from nature, but without destroying nature. They learned the sounds and movements of the animals and they were able to read the signs. 3. Using all the American Indians killing an animal used everything they could. They were not wasting.
Everything was in use. For example, the internal organs of animals made containers in which they transported water or stored healing herbs. The Indians also understood that it is possible that what they have today is no longer there tomorrow. .
