The Society for the Protection of Birds and Nature (SPPN) has published more useful information on hot weather and swifts - swallow-like birds with dark brown feathers and white necks that nest in the cracks of tall buildings. The society mentioned that the hot weather in recent weeks causes the nests of these birds to overheat, which could put their lives in danger. According to the SPPN, swifts spend almost their entire lives in the air: they feed, quench their thirst, mate high in the sky and even sleep in flight. They stop from this lifestyle only when they have to nest, but even then they don't go down to the ground, but look for high places. Their very short legs do not allow them to stand on horizontal supports, but they can cling to vertical surfaces such as walls, which is why they nest in cracks and openings in tall buildings in the cities of the Republic of Moldova. Unfortunately, the unbearable heat in the nests causes the young chicks to leave their nest earlier than they would be ready, and because of this many of them fall to the ground.

Because woodpeckers spend their entire lives in the air, exposure to soil-level bacteria and microflora can cause health problems and even lead to death. . In addition, due to their very small legs, these birds cannot rise from the ground with the same ease shown by other birds. In this regard, the SPPN has come up with a list of recommendations that could help you save the lives of the chicks that have fallen to the ground. # Wear medical gloves when handling the chicken and try to interact with it as little as possible.

# Place the chicken in a cardboard box that has ventilation holes. # Leave it like this in semi-darkness and quiet (don't interact with it and don't put it under the stress of being petted by children or sniffed by pets). # Urgently contact the SPPN for more tips and advice on chick care. Very often, pups need nothing more than a long break to recuperate, so it's important to try releasing it after a few hours. Place the chick in your open palm and let it take flight on its own.

Don't force it by mimicking the blow-up gesture. .
